My Balloon Trip (For Those Who Like To Read Blog Entries Like This!)

I know this isn’t about internet marketing but there are some people out there who like to read blogs about what people eat and where they go… so I’ll cater to them as well. Ha!

I bet a lot of you have seen this up in the sky recently:

Noooo… It’s not superman gone obese, take a closer look!

A BIG balloon.

I owed my girl a date because she’s complaining about how we should go out more (World Cup…) so I had to do something. And she wanted something different; so this balloon came in handy. Next I’m gonna have to go sky-diving soon…

So to the balloon we went…

That’s where you buy the tickets, which we did.

Did you know that locals get a 20% discount? Yes we do! Haha! Fleece the tourists! I didn’t say that. It’s $23 for an adult so after the discount, ummmm… you go work it out.

And guess who we saw there!

Kym Ng and the crew. They’re filming for some local show.

Why are they posing in the queue? Celebrities….

So anywhay, we just missed the same flight as Kym or we would have to chance to gwok somemore. So Kym and her crew all went up and all the camera and mike men had to squeeze into the balloon to do the filming for the show.

Since I don’t often bump into celebrities nor do I stalk them. We just had to take a picture with Kym.

My girl asked me why “I so fierce”.

Anyway, the last time I bumped into a celebrity, it was Michelle Chia and she was eating ice cream and before that it was Christopher Lee eating curry rice and before that Christopher Lee again playing football at Marina South.

So after all of that, it was our turn to go up.

We queued up and went on our way.

“Wooop… Don’t worry, Mam. It can lift you up too.”

The balloon’s helium filled and is tethered to the ground by a cable which winches the balloon up or down.

This picture’s for the engineer geeks.

And so we went up and took some more pictures.

Alright we took more shots but you want to see meh…

This is for those with a fear of heights.

The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes and guess who we met this time when we came down.

James Heng himself, the owner of Duck Tours and also this balloon enterprise. If anyone is mentioned by the PM himself, then he is a big shot. Haha! Now this a celebrity! And I’m the papparazi!

Ok done.
