You actually will not get penalized by Google, but they will usually only give you credit for one or two of the same articles linking back to your site.  All the other postings should just be considered marketing in hopes someone will read it and click through to your site.

When you do the article sumbmission for Adam Khoo, how many articles directories did you use? I understand that the more duplicated articles on the web, Google will actually penalize by giving lower ranking to the article. 
How much of this do you find is true? 
Also, I have seen some people submit more than 160+ articles to the same article directory and the ranking does not seem to improve. Choice of keywords aside, what do you think is affecting the ranking?
