Yes! The Official Launch is over (which means I can also blog about other things…), so let’s have� a final recap of the whole thing before we move on.

As you can see the last 3-4 days, the sales picked due to two things. One is of course time’s running out, don’t need to be a marketing whiz to know that one and the other one was I sent an email broadcast informing the people on the list of the deadline.

Which was a big failure. In my opinion. You see when we first did the pre-launch way back, we had only about 500+ people on out list at that time. This time the list was grown way beyond that 500, but the response I observed was tepid at best, if I can put it that way.

I’ll have to figure out why even though list has grown tremendously, the response hasn’t followed as well. In fact, the number of sales due to broadcasts I mailed for the pre-launch and this official launch� is about the same. It’s like the list never grew at all! !@#$%� (why is that hyperlinked?)

Anyway, I’ll have to dig deep and get some answers.

Oh yea.. so let’s recap: for this Official Launch we did 117 sales for a total revenue of US$7839. All in about 21 days. Good or bad result? Well, you can have your say. All in all, I’m grateful to be a part of it. And I think you know why. haha!

Alright, it’s been about 12+ days since SSMM was launched and let’s have a look at how’s it going:

Oh no! Not too good at all! As you can see, when compared to the hype of the pre-launch, we’re really falling behind. It just goes to show that there will be ups and downs on the internet anytime.

Now even though this isn’t as impressive as we would have expected, it’s still a decent result (who isn’t happy with US$3000 in half a month passive?) But we could really do better especially after we set the bar so high so early.

Another lesson from this is that JV partnerships are very important. I feel the difference between this launch and the pre-launch is down to the number and the quality of the affiliates of SSMM. When you have an established marketer pick up your product and decides to recommend it to his burgeoning list, you can only go on your kness and yell, ‘Hallelujah!.’ haha! I’m serious…

So keep that in mind when you are planning to market your stuff online. You can only win-win when you team up with as many JV partners and established ones at that.

Anyway, I do expect this figure to rise when the clock runs down and the sense of urgency to grab SSMM increases. I will also be sending out another email broadcast to the lists reminding them of the impending deadline to grab SSMM before the price rises indefinitely, so that will contribute as well.

All in all, pretty ok. But like I said, it feels deflationary after the europhia of the first time.

Anyway, besides the long title, I’m up in KL right now because I’m attending some seminar and I really haven’t found the time to write some stuff for you.

But right now, the whole thing just ended and my trip back down is tomorrow so I thought I’ll include a little something here.

The launch is going pretty good so far and I’m just waiting for the momentum to pick up even further. We’ll just have to wait and see if that happens. A few affiliates have been emailing asking about the SSMM affiliate program, so lot’s of potential win-win deals going on soon and I’ll be happy as a lark when all of that kicks off.

As of now, SSMM has already shipped about 40 copies, so that’s about US$2680 in sales in just about the last 4 days. So that’s pretty decent so far.

This time the whole event is a whole lot smoother, obviously because there isn’t and shouldn’t be a bandwidth issue this time around. I am also not so ‘kan cheong’ as the 1st time I did a launch, so that helps as well.

So there’s really not a lot of drama I can blog about at the moment, so even though you like to read about drama, I guess there’s none at the moment. But I’ll keep you updated.

Some of you have placed comments about the hate mail post and I think it’s always interesting to know how other people think about the same thing. Always very interesting to me, because I feel that being aware of many different point of views helps to keep me open. And that’s useful. Really.

I’ll keep this short because I’m doing this at the hotel lobby and it’s getting a bit late. The bloody hotel has no internet access in the rooms! Yes I’m fussy. But it’s also because there’s a stupid female mosquito flying around having a good feast at my expense!

I’m gonna kill it! I usually don’t kill things (yea.. ok I eat meat) but I make an exception� for female mosquitoes. See! It’s flying infront of the screen now, bringing down the efficiency of my viewing the text as I type. Bloody mossie! What purpose do mosquitoes serve to the eco system anyway?

We just kicked off the Official Launch of SSMM and I’m just crossing my fingers that this one will be as or even more successful than the pre-launch. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Some of you would probably have known it by now and YES, the Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires pre-launch is sold out! In about a week as well. So it’s pretty good timing and Adam is estactic about the success of the pre-launch and I am still stunned. Haha!

Anyway, since you are reading this, I must share more about what type of nonsense I went through during this period. Especially when the bandwidth got exceeded! I was SUPER-stressed.

So let’s start off where I left off in the last post. I was telling about how some really awesome affiliates were promoting SSMM to their own lists and how the orders just kept on streaming in. It was incredible!

Now at that time, when I was planning the pre-launch, I had no idea that all 200 copies would have been snapped up in just 7 days. I thought maybe it would take at most a month and a half to clear the whole thing. So I figured the bandwidth would be sufficient to carry the whole month through.

Now you already� know suddenly the Americans came knocking and started pulling the product off the shelves and the bandwidth was starting to creep up at a very alarming rate. I monitered it for awhile and after it hit a certain point, I upgraded the hosting to support all the downloads and orders that were taking place on the site.

But it wasn’t enough! The orders just kept on coming and the downloads kept on downloading and soon enough, even though I had just upgraded the bandwidth, the activity taking place on the site was threatening to shut the whole site down.

So I emailed my hosting company and told them that I needed to upgrade my bandwidth again and they said ‘Sure! Please pay us more!’ (kidding) but what they told me really got me aggitated. They told me that if I wanted to upgrade my server up the next level, they had to switch servers and the websites would be down for up to 96 hours!

I almost pissed in my pants when I heard that (I didn’t ok…). I’ll tell you why. I was in the middle of one of the hottest product launches in my life, OK it was my first and only so far, and I just couldn’t afford any downtime whatsoever during this period!

Imagine all the affiliates sending their clients over to SSMM only for them to find that the site is DOWN. That is super pai seh and very, very� bad. Firstly, customers are going to be irritated that they’ve been directed to a site that’s down and for wasting their time and the affiliate marketers’ reputation could take a hit for directing his clients to a downed site. � I didn’t want any marketer out there becoming pissed off.

Because I’m telling you, the world is just too small.

Also, I had to consider those people who had already bought and paid for SSMM because most of them wouldn’t have finished grabbing all the downloads yet and for the site to be down, I was risking an avalanche of refunds.

Anyway, I really didn’t have a choice because even if I didn’t upgrade and switch servers, the whole thing was going to be down sooner or later so I went ahead with the upgrade and kept my fingers crossed.

I emailed all our customers and affiliates telling them of the bandwidth issue and how long the server upgrade would take and apologised for any inconvenience caused. I was just hoping that everything would turn out fine.

Sure enough, some emails started to stream in asking why they couldn’t access the site and thier downloads and I had to email each one of the personally just to make sure they got the apology and message about our bandwidth issue.

I almost didn’t sleep for the next 24 hours because I had to handle any emails that came in FAST or I ran the risk of customers getting real peeved and then hitting the refund button.

I tell you, I was on high alert and� Ijust couldn’t relax. My mind was constantly on the websites and when the server upgrade would be complete. I think I also gained weight during that period! Hai..~

Anyway, after a while, the emails started slowing down and i figured those who were affected by the server upgrade would have already emailed for support by now while those who didn’t probably had no problems accessing their downloads.

After a while (like 2-3 days later), the server came back on and soon everything was all systems go. I emailed everyone telling them the server had been upgraded and if anyone had any problems to email support and we would get help to them immediately.

I hardly slept a wink during the 3 days the server was down and I now have a phobia of customer service and emails. Haha! I’m gonna have to get someone to do all this for me soon enough.

Imagine seeing your inbox stuffed with emails and they are NOT order invoices (I like those sort of emails) but stuffed with customers asking this and that. Sian…

I know customer service and support is very important and I treat my customers like GOLD. You should see the emails I type to them and I ususally do my best to respond immediately.

On a side note however, I seriously think emails are the easiest way to shoot arrows. Shoot shoot shoot! I think any coporate person would agree.

Anyway, everything’s more or less OK right now. I’ve stopped taking orders for SSMM at the moment to let things settle down abit. But we’ll opening the site for orders again real soon. So if you didn’t grab your copy for US$47 during the pre-launch, I’m sorry, that one’s over but it’s still a bargain at US$97. It’s already more than HALF-price off the physicval version of SSMM so it really is a good deal to grab anyhow.

Hello folks, you all probably know about the SSMM pre-launch by now because it’s ALL over our websites, you surely can’t have missed it, so I won’t go into it anymore in this post.

But what I will blog about is that this Pre-Launch is getting out of hand! I’m literally working like mad to keep pace with the whole thing and to make sure everything runs perfectly.

As of now, it’s been almost 5 days since I last sent out the email broadcast and already more than HALF of the 200 copies on offer have been snapped up. As I’m typing this post, orders are coming in like nobody’s business. In fact I just got one this second! MAD! Becuase I’ve never experienced anything like this before!

Let me show you some stuff.

As you can see the first two days after I sent the broadcasts, sales were pretty good. But it started to peter off a few days later. These were mainly Singaporean customers as most on our lists are mainly local.

When I got home from watching Superman Returns yesterday (about midnight), I checked my inbox to see if there were anymore new orders and I found only one. I was getting very worried that interest was dying down in the pre-launch.

And then the MADNESS started. Order after order after order after order just kept on ramming into my inbox. I just didn’t know what the hell had happened. Such a BIG giant increase in sales all of a sudden. I was like a kid with a sweet tooth in an oversized candy store. Overwhelmed!

I went to sleep and when I woke up the next day, guess what? My inbox was stuffed with 98 emails. And I only slept 5 hours. I never had so much email in my life. This beats even spam. And that’s saying something!

And I checked where these order were coming from and you guessed it; it were the americans! They just kept on buying and buying and buying the stuff. It was shooting off the shelves like nothing!

In fact it just wasn’t the americans, we had orders from ALL over the world! Places like India, Sweden, Holland, UK, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Australia, Norway….. Wow! This is really global! Adam will be pleased… Hahaha!

In fact some, top-notch internet marketers have already bought the program, I can’t say who and I even had a guy from the� US Department of Education buy the program. You really get anyone buying your stuff on the internet.

What! I just got another 4 orders as I was typing this post till here! MAD! A good kind of MAD…

Anyway, I have no IDEA where all these people are coming from at first, I had hardly done a thing to generate any traffic to the website and there isn’t any other form of advertising overseas. Unlike in Singapore, where the locals stumble upon our websites through reading the SSMM hardcopy.

Maybe some super affiliate is pulling all this traffic in. Man! Maybe it’s this guy:

Haha! No.. Can’t be. He deals strictly with Internet Marketing products only. That’s Ewen Chia by the way, if you didn’t already know. I’m the one on the right if you didn’t that too… Ha!

Anyone who can conjure up what I’m getting now in just ONE HOUR deserves my utmost respect. It’s a whole new ball game up there.

But yes, I have since found out that it’s a few great affiliates who have really contributed to this terrific launch. We really couldn’t have done it without them. If you guys happen to stumble waywardly upon my humble blog, THANK YOU!

Anyway, I’ve been really, really busy handling all the enqueries as well. In fact, I get alot more from Singaporeans even though most of the sales have been from the US. Locals are more kiasu… ask ALOT of questions.

I think it also stems from the fact that SSMM is already sold in local bookstores, so alot of Singaporeans ask if this online version is any different.

So to put it on record and if you bother to read. It’s the same. Only it’s delivered digitally. And you get a Bonus 12 Cd audio set along with the bundle as well. So you’re getting tons of value at this low low price.

Ah! You see! Another 4 more orders! MAD!

In the space of an hour, my inbox gets flooded with at least 30 emails. Some orders, some of them are opt-ins, some are questions. It’s non-stop!

Anyway, talking about opt-ins, this is MAD as well (how many times have I used that word?), but normally Adam’s websites get about 10-15 opt-ins a day. Not bad.

But during this launch, things are not normal as well… Guess the number of opt-ins we had yesterday alone?
